About the Role:

As the Quality Product Specialist, you will ensure the integrity and highest level of quality for all Ferrero products produced in the Louisville, Kentucky plant. The Quality Product Specialist will be responsible for the inspection of work in process and finished products. As the Quality Product Specialist, you will ensure compliance of quality standards for all products, GMPs and Food Safety. You will be in a leading role, working closely with managers and participating in root cause analysis and data entry. 

 

Please note: This is a 1st shift position, with a flexible start time that will be determined between the candidate and the manager. Over time may be needed at times during peak season.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Promptly provides support to the production department, in case of anomalies identified along the process or in case of quality issues, lab. Analysis (high flaw rate, production stops, etc.).
  • In case of issues or anomalies, cooperate along with the PQFSM responsible, to determine and implementing corrective actions to avoid that the same issues continue to appear.
  • Keeps the product on hold for quality reasons
  • Manages the possible non-conformities
  • Manages the root cause analysis for NC and consumer complaints
  • Ensure the execution of controls and /or extraordinary sampling on finished goods with reference to specific issues.
  • Supports the production department for all quality matters related to the production process
  • Cooperates with Technical Production department to pursue an ongoing quality improvement
  • Involved in development of tasting activities along the production line, for product under competence (taster’s list, reporting, training)

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelors degree in Food Science or relative field required.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of production/quality specifications
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, manufacturing process and quality control
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000
  • Internal auditing experience a plus
  • Experience with various types of lab equipment utilized in Food Quality (moisture, viscosity, pH, color, etc.)
  • SAP experience
